Microbe SpikerTM
Attracts and Attacks
The new Microbe SpikerTM squeegee from Haviland Corporation is an innovative "Attract and Attack" antimicrobial product. The squeegee is comprised of a blue double foam rubber blade infused with an antimicrobial agent. It is in a 16 gauge plated steel frame secured with nylon insert fasteners, and a polycarbonate threaded socket that accepts a standard ACME threaded handle. Like most Haviland squeegees the Microbe SpikerTM can be adapted to fit your specific needs as to type of frame and socket.
Infused in the blade are millions of bacteria inhibiting spikes. As the blade moves over surfaces, these spikes remove microbes from surfaces by "physical" means, not by using poisons or chemicals. The spikes use a strong positive charge to attract the negatively charged bacteria. When microorganisms come in contact with the Microbe SpikerTM the spikes puncture the cell membrane. There is no opportunity for cell adaptation or development of microbial resistance.
The antimicrobial agent is registered with the EPA and is accepted by the USDA. In independent testing, the agent proved to be effective against a broad range of microbes (tested to ASTM E2149-01 with results of a 99% reduction).

Jubilee Floor Squeegee
Extremely durable, rugged plastic squeegee with a unique feature, the blade is replaceable. This squeegee is color-coded for customers who are concerned about cross-contamination or need a specific color for branding. The Jubilee PN-Line is shown with a neoprene blade and is available in standard sizes of 12, 18, 24 and 30 inches. The socket accepts a standard ACME broom-threaded handle.

FEC - (Easy Clean Versatile Squeegee)
A versatile squeegee version of the EC (Easy Clean) combines the same great features of the EC-Line with an addition of a polycarbonate threaded socket. A special die is used to extrude molten PVC together to form a strong, durable bond between the frame and the blade. The perfection of the process provides a resilient, yet inexpensive product that can be used for any horizontal, vertical, or any surface in between. The blade is tough enough to use on floors. Available in 12, 15, 18, and 24 inch lengths; however, special sizes are available. |
